It’s been a while since I’ve written about my flight lessons so I thought I would give you an update on how I’m doing.
This past week I had the chance to go up four times which is great for building up time but awful on the wallet. Nevertheless, I would like to have my private pilot license by January. This is totally doable, I just have to keep on top of my flying and not let too much time pass between lessons.
The latest lessons I’ve done have included: turns, climbs and descents, flying for endurance and range, slow flight, stalls and recoveries.
On Tuesday, instead of the regular Piper Cherokees which I’ve flown so far, I took up the Piper Cherokee Warrior. It’s a much more stable plane and also more roomier which is a good thing, because both myself and my new instructor Kenny are pretty big guys.
On Thursday, as I was taxiing to runway 30 via taxiway C and H, I saw a Hercules plane land right in front of me. It was amazing.
I’m up to about 9.8 flight hours so I have about 40 more until I will go for my flight test. I can’t wait to have my license!
