Six relationship tips from DumbLittleMan

Dumb Little Man is a great blog full of very useful information on how to improve your health and your life in general. Today they have an article giving six tips to improve your relationship with someone else. The main audience for the article are those in romantic relationships, however I think these points can be extrapolated to other types of relationships as well. As always, check out the full article for full explanations.

  1. Give exactly what you want to get.
  2. Remember your partner is not a band-aid.
  3. Being in a relationship never made anyone blind.
  4. Say what you mean, mean what you say.
  5. Always assume your partner’s intentions are good.
  6. Remember the virtues of friendship.

Why my best work is done at night

If you are like me, you suffer from day-time-ADD (attention deficit disorder). I find it very difficult to concentrate my work on one thing during the day. I am most productive between 11 PM and 3 AM. In this four hour window I get more work done and of higher quality that I usually do in eight hours during the day.

Dumb Little Man has an article listing “6 Reasons why productivity belongs to the night owls.” Among the reason listed are:

  • Calmness
  • Isolation
  • Minimal multitasking

Check out the full article for a description of each of those and three more reasons. Looks like it’s not just the early bird that catches the worm.

You’ve been benched

An idea so crazy it actually sounds fun. Photojojo, a site dedicated to photography tips an tricks has a great suggestion from a reader for a photography project: “Tie a disposable camera to [a bench], leave it there for a day, then come back and develop the pictures.”

The reader who suggested it did just that and left a note saying:

Good afternoon,
I attached this camera to the bench so you could take pictures. Seriously. So have fun. I’ll be back later this evening to pick it up.
Love, Jay

He got some interesting results.
