Yesterday afternoon I had to leave work early because I could not concentrate between the coughs any more. I went to the local Shopper’s Drugmart and picked up a bottle of Robitussin to help alleviate the cough. Once I got home, my head was spinning and I was running a pretty high fever.
After drinking copious amounts of liquids I went to bed and woke up this morning barely able to get out of bed. I will spare you the rest of the gory details, but needless to say today has not been a good day. I’ve spent pretty much all of it in bed with a fan blowing on me to keep me cool and a cold, wet towel on my forehead. It seems to have helped as I don’t feel that hot any more and my eyes have stopped stinging (that’s how I know I’ve got a fever, dry eyes). I’ve “quarantined” myself in my room to prevent spreading the disease.
