I spent my reading week in the Belle Province this year, with time split between Quebec City and Montreal. While on one of our daily treks across town we ran across the ICAO‘s Montreal headquarters at 999 Rue de l’Universite.

A few of us tried to enter but we were promptly informed we need permission since it is a United Nations building and security is tight. Nevertheless, they allowed three of us in as long as we only took pictures of the airplane models towards the front of the building. They had an Airbus A380 and a Concorde sitting there so we helped ourselves to some shots.

There was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner model past the security desk and metal detectors so we were not allowed to photograph over there. The gentleman inside was quite courteous and accommodating; he told us that they do give tours of the building, however we would have to book in advance.

While in Montreal we also happened upon a watch store which carried the Citizen Skyhawk watch in the picture below:

I had a great time on the trip, so watch this space for more highlights!
