Obesity is a ‘big problem’ (pardon the pun) in society. I’m not going to quote any statistics because we all know the problem exists.
When it comes to flying, weight plays a big part in determining the plane’s expected performance. A few hundred pounds here and there may mean thousands of dollars saved in fuel. It is no wonder, then, that some airlines have policies in place for dealing with those of use who are ‘of size.’
MSNBC takes a look at a few airlines and their ‘customers of size’ policies. It is a good reference point to know what to expect when boarding a plane.
